Bismillah..
A month ago, i have been in Indonesia for my academic purposes. To be specific, Bandung & Yogyakarta! It was my first time ever riding a plane. Scary at first but kinda exciting when flying high into the cloudy blue sky :)
My flight was at afternoon. But we have arrived early to check in luggage and breakfast. Near to 11.15 am, we proceeded to departure hall and i guess this is the right time to say 'good bye Malaysiaku'? :P
Cliche picture before flying i guess. i want it too! |

Arrived at Husein Sastranegara Airport, Bandung! |
After we met with our local guides, we proceed to Saung Angklung Udjo for bamboo performance. However, we went to restaurant near by for our lunch first. So here..my 'nasi timbel' .
The one that coated with banana leaf is rice. The common view that you can see here. |
A little information of Saung Angklung Udjo..
Location : Jl. Padasuka No 118, Bandung, Jawa Barat, 40192, Indonesia
Saung Angklung Udjo - the venue where you can learn a lot of things about local Sundanese culture through the performances. You can watch traditional dances, traditional wayang golek (almost same like our wayang kulit), bamboo band, angklung which you even can play with it. This is a good entertainment and educating tourists to learn about their culture and how they sustaining it. The show was nearly 2 hours long. However, we enjoyed with that. We sing, played the angklung and got chance to dance their traditional dance with little kids. It was really entertained!
After all, we proceeded to get our dinner at near by restaurant at the heart of Bandung city. Oh yea, Bandung is really packed with motorized vehicles. Stuck. Tension. A bit :( Not forget to mention, Bandung is also called as Paris Van Java! According to UPI website, Bandung is planned to be a capital of the Netherlands Indies in the Dutch colonial era. That is the reason why there are lots of building has Dutch architecture.

After having our dinner,we checked in our room at Salis Hotel, Bandung. The room is okey-lah since this hotel is close to Bandung town and UPI. So end of our first day. Next for day 2 diary.
